All
standard cable joints are supplied as complete kits in a single carton. Each
kit comprises a clear plastic shell, armour bond kit, a two-part
high quality polyurethane resin compound, gloves and jointing instructions.

Step by step cable jointing instructions are provided
with each cable jointing kit which must be installed by a skilled jointer who is fully conversant with all the applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and installation techniques.

heat
Cable Joints
are filled with a two-part polyurethane resin
compound which is supplied in a two-section self-contained, non-perishable
bag enclosing both resin and hardener, ensuring safe, no contact with
the skin.
- No
further protection
The
resin compound completely penetrates and sets solid within a plastic
shell which effectively insulates, seals and protects the joint. It
will not subsequently soften.
- Shelf
life
Shelf
life of resin is 2 years when stored in well ventilated dry conditions
between 15 C and 35 C.
- Effective
under fault conditions
Tough
resin encapsulation ensures full symmetric fault capability, while earth
bonds are sized to give full cable earth fault performance.
- This
range of cable joints is suitable for:
600/1000V
cables with stranded copper or solid aluminium conductors up to 400mm˛ PVC, XLPE or EPR insulated, PILC, PVC sheathed single wire armoured,
aluminium strip armoured or unarmoured.
- Safety
We recommend that all equipment is installed on de-energised cables.
The equipment should only be installed by a suitably qualified person.
