Doming Resins

ISP, the leading name in resin manufacture, design and formulation, has called upon its 25 years of experience in industry to produce a truly unique doming resin system. This product can transform any type of graphic or picture with a non-porous surface into an eye-catching 3D dome effect adding extra dimensions to your design - ideal for corporate badges, computer badges, fridge magnets, vehicle trim, scientific equipment, electrical goods, audio systems, promotional items, key fobs, golf clubs, cut-out vinyl lettering, point-of-purchase display, wines & spirits optics and much more!

resin1   The ISP doming resin system consists of two liquid materials that when mixed at a 2:1 parts by volume ration (2 parts base to 1 part activator) react to form a solid clear material. ISP has designed the resin to ensure the user enough time in which to apply the liquid to a level surface and allow it to flow to the edge however keeping the surface tension of the liquid high enough so that the resin does not flow over the edge. Within 10 minutes of applying the material begins to gel and within 3 hours turns hard without tackiness creating a crystal clear dome.

ISP offers a full package. Commitment to the customers requirement is paramount to doming success and as such we stock a huge range of options for equipment dispensing tools and the packaging to suit your needs.

Notes:

  • All polyurethane doming resins are moisture sensitive. Contamination can occur if applied to a damp surface, used in a humid environment, used past the recommended shelf life or left open to atmosphere after the first application. It is recommended to try and use a container in entirety. The effects of moisture are tiny bubbles forming within the material and this can affect the overall look of the dome.
  • It is recommended to carry out doming in a dehumidified room and not to use anything which can contain moisture. This includes wooden objects, hygroscopic inks, etc. Is is also recommended not to use inks containing glycerine.
  • Please review Storage, Hazards & Handling. Always carry out a full COSHH assessment of chemicals used in the workplace.
